  9. BitZipper 2.05 is a minor upgrade for version 2.0 that corrects a few problems:

  11. * BitZipper can now open archives received as email attachments using Outlook 
  12.   2000 under Windows 2000.
  13.  
  14. * tar archives created with BitZipper can now be extracted on Unix platforms.
  15.  
  16. * Could not extract all files from certain Java archives (created zero byte 
  17.   files).
  18.  
  19. * Could not open tar files inside .tgz files
  20.  
  21. * 'Include files in subfolders' on the Add dialog did not work for the 
  22.   'Files' option, only for 'All files' and 'Selected'.
  23.  
  24. * The backup feature did not limit files included from subfolders to the 
  25.   entered file specs, but included all files instead.
  26.  
  27. * Password encrypting zero-byte files caused files with wrong headers to be 
  28.   added to the archive. The zero-byte files would be reported as damaged 
  29.   when doing an archive test.

  42. BitZipper is a Next Generation ZIP utility for Windows 95, 98, ME, NT4 and 2000.

  44. New features in BitZipper 2.0:

  46. * Introducing the BitZipper Batch Tool! Work with multiple archives 
  47.   at once - convert, extract, test, virus scan and search multiple
  48.   archives by the click of a button! Yes, the days are over where
  49.   you had to open each and every archive after spending a day
  50.   downloading. Select the files to extract, click a button, and have
  51.   the archives extracted into an individual or common folder. 
  52.   Simple as that!

  54. * New look! You may now create your own toolbar 'skins'. The 
  55.   interface has been made more user friendly by adding more than 70 
  56.   new shortcuts, dockable toolbar, and the display now reflects your 
  57.   Regional settings.

  82.   of backup sets that basically hold information about which files
